The Chairman, SDP Owerri Municipal Council, Hon. Desmond Ofoma, has emphasised the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the party’s goal
Hon. Ofoma stated this during an enlarged executive meeting of the party held at his Owerri residence recently.
He expressed gratitude for their commitment to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Owerri Municipal and emphasized the need for unity and collaborations
The chairman urged the enlarged exco and ward executives to actively organize meetings within their respective wards, and highlighted the need for strategic planning to foster development and cohesion within the party.
While encouraging the members to engage with the communities, he expressed his unwavering support for the national leadership of the party, led by Hon.Modibbo Abubarkar.
“We want to thank and support the new leadership of the NEC, led by Hon. Modibbo. We believe they are the people that will lead us to the promised land “.
He reinforced the need for collective efforts in promoting party values and objectives.
He however frowned and cautioned the youths against engaging in vote buying and ballot box snatching saying it will not be torelated again, and emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the electoral process to ensure a free and fair election.
Hon. Ofoma expressed strong confidence that with the collective strength and commitment of SDP members in the municipal council, the party is poised to sweep the area in the 2027 elections.
He called on all members to intensify their efforts, focusing on grassroots mobilization and building a robust campaign strategy that reflects the needs and aspirations of the electorate.
