We are out to re-position SDP in Imo. ….Opara

The Chairman, Social Democratic Party (SDP) Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, Chief Opara Christian, recently gathered his Ward Excos for a crucial meeting that would determine the trajectory of their political aspirations come 2027.

Addressing members of the SDP Mbaitoli LGA, at his country home Ubomiri, Mbaitoli LGA. Chief Opara, who was known for his charismatic leadership style said,

“Today, we gather not just as members of a party, but as champions of a vision, a vision that aspires to uplift our community and enhance our people’s lives through democratic means.”

“It is crucial that we devote ourselves to the upliftment of our party. Let us not be distracted by those who seek to sow discord among us.

“Our strength lies in our unity, our resolve, and our commitment to the ideals that brought us together in the first place.”

“The recent changes within our national hierarchy bring us renewed hope. This transition is not just a change of guards, but a promise of reform, a necessary step toward making our dreams a reality in 2027 Elections.

“We are witnessing a metamorphosis under the guidance of the National Executive Committee, led by Comrade Adamu Abubarkar Modibbo, who has shown dedication and vision that our party desperately needed”.

Chief Opara expressed gratitude for the appointment of Amb, (Dr) Eluwa Henry Ifeanyi, as the National Youth Speaker of the SDP, recognizing the significance of engaging the youth in the political process.

“You all know how vital the youth voice is in shaping our future, Let us rally behind Amb Eluwa and ensure that the aspirations of our young people are at the forefront of our campaign strategies.”

He therefore urged his members to carry the party’s message back to their respective communities and wards.

“Spread the ideals of our party! Let it ripple through the communities, so that everyone knows there is a better path available, a path paved by the principles of social justice, equality, and good governance.”

Chief Opara did not shy away from cautioning against anti-party activities.

“Let it be known that any actions detrimental to our unity and purpose will not be tolerated. We must remain steadfast and vigilant against those who wish to divide us.” He said.
The meeting was well attended by all the Ward Executives.
