Dear Esteemed Members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Fellow Youths, Patriots, and Friends of Democracy,
It is with great humility, deep commitment, and renewed optimism that I warmly welcome all members of our great party especially the newly constituted National Working Committee (NWC) into a season of transformation, strategic reawakening, and purposeful engagement.
The youths of Nigeria are not just leaders of tomorrow. We are the heartbeat of today. Yet, we continue to face disheartening challenges from rising unemployment, limited political inclusion, educational inequality, economic disempowerment, to social marginalization.
Many have lost faith in the system. But in the Social Democratic Party, we believe that the solution lies in courageous reforms, bold participation, and inclusive leadership.
As the National Youth Leader of SDP, I do not take lightly the burden and privilege of this office. I am fully aware that the struggles of Nigerian youths both within our party and across the nation cannot be addressed by rhetoric, but by intentional actions backed by visionary policies and programs. I pledge to serve as a bridge between our youths and the decision making table. This office is a call to advocacy, action, and accountability.
To our young comrades in SDP across all zones: your voices matter. Your energy, ideas, and resilience are needed now more than ever. We shall build a youth wing that is structured, active, creative, and inclusive. We will open platforms for talent discovery, training, mentorship, digital empowerment, and grassroots mobilization.
To the newly elected members of the National Working Committee, I say: Congratulations! This is not just a victory for individuals, but a victory for democracy, justice, and credible alternatives.
Together, we will reposition the SDP as the only real and credible option for Nigerians, especially as we prepare for 2027 and beyond.
Let it be known: the era of silence and sidelining is over. The SDP Youth Directorate under my leadership will not be passive. We will engage. We will innovate. We will mobilize. And we will lead with integrity.
Nigeria must work for the youths. The SDP must stand for the youths. And I, AMB. Dr. Eluwa Ifeanyi Henry, will ensure we do not fail.
Welcome to a new era.
