Emele Applauds the 3R Mantra of Gov Uzodinma. …As LSJ paid her courtesy call

The Hon Commissioner, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Imo State, Hon. Mrs Ruby Emele, has commended the League of Senior Journalist in Imo State for their support to the 3R Administration of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.

She made the commendation while receiving members of the group recently in office.

Hon. Emele while thanking them for their visit said,

“I thank you so much. I have special regard for the 4th Estate of the Realm because you shape the society.

“Your job is very important, that is why I don’t joke with journalists”.

She hinted that governor Uzodinma is doing everything possible to transform Imo State into what is seen in places like Lagos and Abuja, with quality amenities like good roads and things that create enabling environment for private sector to thrive.

“Good roads boost commerce, transport and good health of both humans and vehicles”.

According to her, another wonderful one the Governor is doing, is in the area of power/electricity, to ensure that Imolites have alternative to the national grid.

“We thank God, the whole thing has started to work. It is moving stage by stage. New Owerri now has power and gradually it will trickle down to the local government areas.

“So, it can only be somebody that means well for the people that strives to do all these.

“In some other sectors too, like human capital development and some other intangibles. He has ensured that Imo is respected at the national level.

“It’s rare to see somebody who is in his second term working as if he is in the first term.He is ready to work till the last day in order to see how this state can look like the ones I mentioned earlier”.

Hon. Emele, prayed God to give to the people of Imo state someone who will continue the good work and even do more after Uzodimma.

She further explained that her understanding of public service is to add value, provide listening ears to the people, solve problems.

“To me it’s all about service to God and humanity”.

Speaking earlier on behalf of the group, Agbakwuru Attan commended the commissioner on her landmark achievements within the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs.

“We come today not as critics, but as chroniclers. What we have observed in your stewardship demands a courtesy, an acknowledgment.”

On the 3R Mantra of the state government, Rehabilitation, Reconstruction, and Recovery. Agbakwuru explained that Hon. Emele, has translated the mantra from a political slogan into a living doctrine within the delicate spheres of local governance and traditional institutions.

“You have not just administered, you have mediated.

“We see in your office a force multiplier for peace and unity. Therefore, we do not merely commend you, we call for a strategic partnership.”
