Ahead of 2027 Elections, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) for Tinubu, Saturday July 26, 2025 inaugurated Zonal and 27 LGA Coordinators including foot soldiers across the state. This was geared towards driving home the reelection bid of President Bola Tinubu come 2027 general election.
The programme which doubled as empowerment galore for indigenes of the state across party lines with the theme “Empowering The Grassroot”, was to spread the message of hope and developmental blueprints of President Tinubu to the region, noting his resolve to give South East full sense of belonging in Nigeria project.

The packages included 8-seater mini buses, Motorcycles, Industrial grinding machines, Female saloon kits, Sewing machines, rice and cash donations of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (#200,000), One Hundred Thousand Naira (#100,000), Fifty Thousand Naira (#50,000) and Twenty Thousand Naira (#20,000) to 100, 200, 300, 20 to small business owners including indigent families.
Inaugurating the coordinators, the National Coordinator, Amb. Belusochukwu Enwere enjoined the people to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilize grassroot supports towards the re-election of President Tinub. He highlighted some positive initiatives of President Tinubu’s administration, particularly the recent approval of the $3 billion Eastern Rail line, South East Development Commission (SEDC), as well as #150 billion South East Investment Company projects.
Amb. Enwere stressed that the Federal government’s projects in South East will not only reconnect the region to national grid but will as well create jobs, and mark the most significant federal infrastructure commitments to the zone in Nigeria’s history and called for total commitment to the course.
He appraised the projects to be one of the best in the zone which should be encouraged by their total support, saying that from August 2025 the SERHA team will begin to tour the 95 local government areas as well as the 2344 wards spread across the five states in South East,Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo State.
“This signals a dramatic policy and economic shift aimed at bridging decades of regional neglect and infrastructure inequality.

“However, this marks the first time any administration has budgeted over $3 billion solely for a South East transport project, drawing praises even from political critics.
“It is significant to note that, this project will slash transport costs, open new export channels, and revive dormant and industrial zones in South East Nigeria as well as realigning South-East with the center by responding to calls for inclusion.
“Since the end of the Civil War in 1970, the South East has not experienced the extent of investment and attention it is currently getting from the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”
The Deputy National Coordinator, SERHA, Chukwudi Anyanwuocha, while speaking said that the mission of SERHA is to relay on the good vision and programmes of Tinubu led administration to South East by ensuring inclusivity across the zone.
He described the empowerment scheme as well as other projects of the Federal government in South East as a meaningful engagement aimed at eliminating marginalization experienced over the years, assuring that other empowerment initiatives such as the students free interest loans among others, shall be improve.
Imo SERHA Coordinator, Chief Justus Ogu, addressing the people, expressed satisfaction about the readiness of the team to champion the message of hope to the grassroots, expressing confident that their collective actions will inspire renewed passion, and stronger coordination to reelect President Tinubu.
Adding his voice, Chief Ogu stressed that the event was designed to be a rallying point to mobilize, sensitize and energize the South East in readiness for the historic task ahead as anchored on strengthening transformative roadmap for Nigeria so as to promote inclusion, infrastructural development, economic progress and national unity.
“For instance, the present administration has recently given the South East good sense of belonging by establishing South East Development Commission (SEDC).
“Many prominent Igbo sons and daughters have been appointed into Federal boards, parastatals, policy drafting committees, and ministerial roles…signaling efforts towards national inclusion and integration.

“From information available, South East students were among the first to access the Federal Government Student loan Initiative launched in 2024.
“Federal roads in the East are receiving impressive attention through continuous funding of the Reconstruction projects.
“Hopefully, the South East Development Commission, if properly managed. will go a long way in addressing the infrastructural imbalance prevalent in the South EAST States. Like Oliver Twist, We need more integration into the Nigerian system. We can only achieve this supporting a man who understands that “What is good for the Goose is also good for the Gander. With Mr. President on seat, the Rail line which eluded the South East during the last administration will be constructed before the end of President Tinubu’s second term in Office, if re-elected in year 2027.
The SERHA leadership commended the State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for his foresight to have moved the motion requesting for President Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to be re-elected in 2027 at the APC National Summit held at Abuja.
Dr Mandela Ukaegbu, Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt who was represented by the Covering Duty Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Dorathy Mirikwe, commended SERHA and the Federal Government for empowering the people especially indigent persons.
The Commissioner equally applauded Governor Hope Uzodimma for keeping good faith with the Renewed Hope Agenda to empower Imo Youths across boards, urging the people to remain good ambassadors and make good use of the items and cash donations to better their lives.
The beneficiaries while responding expressed appreciation and commended SERHA leadership for their empowerment initiative as well as goodwill to reach out to South Easterners across boards on voting President Tinubu as the right candidate who knows the plight of the people.
